The olive harvest 2015 is coming!

Hello dear followers, adoptive parents and olive oil lovers,

It is time for another Tiny Trullo update, full of news, stories, and of course, the start of the olive oil pre-sale! This year’s harvest promises to be another unique experience in Puglia, and if you want, you can even be part of it.

Read on for all the details and who knows, maybe we will meet soon in the south of Italy!

Moments of happiness in Puglia

Did you know that here in Puglia I regularly experience moments when my heart literally feels like it might burst with happiness?

It is hidden in the smallest, most unexpected things.
When I drive through the olive groves and the light reflects magically on the leaves. Olive green on top, silvery underneath, and with every gust of wind, raindrop, or ray of sunlight, the view changes again. Sometimes it touches me so deeply that it feels like my heart expands and expands until it bursts with joy, sending a wave of happiness through my entire body.

I feel it when I pick fresh figs in the morning for my yogurt, when I walk across my land, when I sit in front of my house overlooking the pool and the beautiful trees, or when I swim early in the morning and dry off in the sun, surrounded by the sounds of nature.

It is pure magic, the rhythm of the land, the silence, the centuries-old traditions.
When I bought my Tiny Trullo in 2020, just before the pandemic, life was heavy. I was in a difficult relationship, everything felt gray, and my heart was closed. The only moments I felt truly alive were here. My Trullo was the only thing that made me smile.

Now that my life has healed and my heart is open again, those moments are even more intense. Every single day I experience those explosions of joy.

I wish everyone could feel this. And maybe, if you ever stay at my Tiny Trullo, you will sense a little of that magic too.

Update on the olive trees

The most frequently asked question remains: how are my olive trees doing? The honest answer: it remains uncertain. The Xylella bacteria is still spreading. In the area, you see entire fields looking dry and dead, which is truly heartbreaking.

Yet my trees are still holding on. Here and there some dry patches appear, but they still give life and, thankfully, olives. Thanks to careful pruning, extra nutrition, avoiding chemicals, and leaving the soil undisturbed, they remain resilient. And I am convinced that all of your loving energy, combined with my daily care, also plays a role.

The harvest is a little smaller every year, but still enough to make delicious olive oil. And that is something to be grateful for, especially now that olive oil is becoming scarcer and more expensive everywhere due to disease and climate change.

So yes, this year we can once again enjoy my very own olive oil together, liquid gold produced with love and care from my trees.

Olive oil pre-sale 2025

The olive harvest is almost here again! End of October or early November (depending on the weather), the olives will be picked. The trees have had plenty of rain, so we expect juicy olives and beautiful oil.

Do you want to enjoy fresh olive oil this year? The pre-sale has started:

You can collect your order in Amsterdam (Haarlemmerplein) from early December. Only adoptive parents receive their oil delivered to their homes.

Because the yield is decreasing, I had to increase prices slightly this year. Be quick, because the harvest is getting smaller every year and always sells out fast.

Adopt an olive tree

Adoptive parents get priority. Adopt a tree and receive a guaranteed 5 liters of olive oil, shipped to wherever you live in the world. You also receive a unique cutting board made from a pruned branch of your very own tree, a certificate (a wonderful gift idea), and much more.

Inspiring adopt stories

It is always special when adoptive parents visit their tree. Every story is unique. Diane adopted a tree for her late twin sister and left this beautiful drawing for me after she stayed in my TinyTrullo for a holiday. Another woman gave herself a tree after her house burned down, while someone else adopted one in memory of a loved one. A Jewish mezuzah and a ceramic memorial figurine were even placed at the foot of trees. Every tree carries its own story and that is what makes the adoption program so special.

Would you like your own tree in Puglia? Adopt a tree and receive your own olive oil every year, a certificate, and a cutting board from your tree.

Experience the harvest or live in Puglia for a month

Have you always wanted to see how olive oil is made? I still remember my first time like it was yesterday. Early November, it is time for the olive harvest in Puglia. From my Tiny Trullo you can witness this unique moment up close. In the mornings you hear the sounds of ladders, carts, and men collecting olives. You can help out yourself, take photos, and experience the magic of the olive press. A true bucket list experience!

But even outside the harvest season, my Tiny Trullo is a wonderful place to stay. Do you need peace, nature, and inspiration? This winter you can retreat here for a month at the friends’ price of €995 (alone or as a couple). With Starlink internet you can work on your projects undisturbed, while in between you enjoy walking, meditating, writing, or simply a refreshing dip in the pool. In winter there is floor heating and a romantic wood stove, so you have all the comfort you need.

The most beautiful moments are the unexpected ones: neighbors leaving fresh eggs, figs, or almonds at your door, an old man inviting you for lunch, or learning local traditions like making tomato sauce. This is living in the moment, in the rhythm of nature, like a true local.

👉 Interested? Check the photos and info, send me a message and maybe soon you will experience the magic of Puglia yourself.

Thank you so much for your loyal support and enthusiasm.
I hope to see you soon – maybe even in Puglia!

Warm regards,

Esther Jacobs
